How can senior managers see all their key business information in one place?

Every business relies on high-quality information to make the strategic decisions that lead to growth and improvement. Gathering, summarising and presenting that information is often slow and difficult, particularly when data is spread across multiple applications, geographies and divisions. The Needlestack Executive Summary is a Power BI report built to solve exactly that, giving senior management the detail they need on any internet-connected device, at any time.

What the report shows

Common date periods are selectable, and the basis of measurement can be changed to year-to-date or month-to-date against equivalent previous periods or against target.

Financial information — including trends and comparisons against target or previous years — is colour-coded red, amber or green using thresholds you set yourself.

The centre of the page describes the whole recruitment process as a flow. In one example year, 777 jobs handled resulted in 4,159 CVs sent, which yielded 1,712 interviews and 183 placements, with conversion percentages and average time at each stage shown alongside.

Average process days are measured from shortlisting, through selection and placement, to start date.

Leaderboards cover sales, averages, jobs added, CVs, interviews and many more metrics. Each is sortable by value, by target and by percentage of target, and can be displayed by consultant, by department or by client.

Forensic analysis in a single click

Selecting an individual row in the leaderboard table filters every visual on the page to match, so moving from a business-wide view down to one consultant, department or client takes a single click. That makes it quick to answer the “why” behind a headline number during a board meeting or performance review, without going back to the source systems.
