Timesheet Portal Power BI Reporting

The headline page 

The opening page plots revenue, margin and timesheets over time and by office, with summary detail beneath. Filters for time period, office, consultant and company sit at the top, and selecting one or several offices anywhere on the page has exactly the same effect as using the filter — so you can drill into a smaller portion of the data from whichever visual you happen to be looking at. 

The managers’ headline page 

This page covers the same ground but adds performance against budget. It also carries two interactive data wheels, for gross margin and revenue, which work outward in three levels: 

• The inner ring shows each office, beginning with the largest at the twelve o’clock position and decreasing clockwise. 

• The middle ring breaks each office down by consultant. 

• The outer ring shows the clients where that consultant has made placements. 

Because the wheels are interactive, selecting any segment filters the rest of the page to match — letting you move from a company-wide figure to a single client relationship in a couple of clicks. 

Margin analysis and consultant reporting 

A full margin analysis is available for each week, split by office, consultant and client. Alongside it, the consultant periodic report shows summary totals together with each person’s position against both forecast and budget. 

The same information is presented again with colour coding applied, so you can see immediately where percentage margin sits above, near, or below the value you consider acceptable — with the thresholds set to your own standards rather than a default. If your business uses subcontract companies such as umbrella organisations, these are reported here as well. 

The revenue and margin page 

This page covers active and new placements, along with the net growth and gross margin associated with each stage. A donut chart shows the proportion of your selected measure attributable to each consultant, and the underlying data sits in a list alongside it, so the detail behind any proportion is always one glance away.
